Jules Baret (pronounced Ba-ray, like the French cap) is a successful veterinarian and entrepreneur. Owning multiple clinics, Jules poured everything into her career, only to wake up in her fifties with a startling realization: she had worked her life away; becoming overweight, isolated, and disconnected from joy, relationships, and hobbies.

            But who was Jules before her professional life took over? Quiet and introspective, she loved animals, travel, and sports. Growing up in a difficult environment, she developed a tough outer shell, yet inside she remained soft and compassionate. Taking time to help and protect others, especially those four-footed furry beings, who couldn’t speak for themselves.

            Meanwhile, curiosity and wanderlust fueled adventurous pursuits around the world. Challenging Jules both physically and mentally, she embraced the diversity of other cultures. Preferring comfort over appearances, and never judging others by their looks or titles.

            As for her athletic endeavors, Jules played competitive football (soccer) through college. Known as the elite, competitive athlete, with the playful, mischievous personality. Having a strong build and a commanding voice, she became a natural leader on the field—endeared by her teammates for her sense of humor and willingness to listen and support them, while also respected by the coaches for her calm, steady presence both on the pitch and in the locker room.

            But, then life intervened. Jules had built a thriving career but lost sight of the person she once was. Fortunately, it wasn’t too late. After selling her practices and retiring, Jules sets out once again to explore the world and rekindle her love for the animals which had stolen her heart so long ago.
