Dr. J. L. Reese is a retired veterinarian, entrepreneur, and celebrated author of Majestic Silence.

During her extensive career, she has owned and operated several veterinary hospitals and practices, including ones specializing in feline-only, and physical rehabilitation. With more than thirty years dedicated to animal care and advocacy, she has a passion for wildlife which has taken her on adventures around the globe, including several memorable journeys through India’s celebrated parks and reserves.

Now residing in Southern California, she shares her home with five beloved cats and divides her time among hiking, donating her medical knowledge to local rescue organizations, and creating a backyard haven for native, urban wildlife.
